Most people are familiar with the phrase "less is more." But when combining multiple patterns and textures in an outfit, I tend to use "more is more" as a guide. It works. In the case of greyscale pants and a tone-on-tone polka dot blouse, it only made sense to throw in a studded army jacket and metallic ankle boots. This look practically created itself.
Romwe lace top, Blonde & Blonde jacket, Maxmara pants, Stella & Dot ring, Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag, Rag & Bone Newbury boots
Each piece is unique, but understated enough to work together as a whole. I'm still debating whether or not I can pull off floral pants, but it's probably just a matter of finding the right pair for my typically low-key wardrobe. The search is on.

I love this look! It has such a great mixture of prints! I'm sure you would look awesome in floral printed pants!

Love the S&D ring and the jacket! I have been looking for floral pants for awhile, I just don't know if I can pull them off. I see that the LC line at Kohl's will have a couple cute pairs coming out, so we shall see!
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of these items. That top is so pretty and so perfect for Spring! And I think you could definitely pull off floral jeans!

I agree! The more textures and prints the better the outfit (in most cases). Love the top and pants.
