mascara moment

As a girl with naturally long eyelashes, I probably shouldn't love mascara as much as I do. I rotate between a few favorites and sometimes layer more than one if my eyelashes aren't behaving the way I want them to.

I have two high-end formulas that I love, but I usually buy drugstore mascara. It has to be replaced so often that purchasing from designer brands gets expensive. I love Lancome's Definicils for long, defined lashes at night and Stila for a full, soft look during the day.

My favorite drugstore mascara is L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes; I love the shiny gold tube, collagen-infused formula and super-defined brush. Maybelline's Classic Volume Express and The Falsies mascaras both have dense brushes and dry formulas, which I like to layer between other mascaras.

As much as I love my current mascara wardrobe, I am always looking for new products to test. Share your favorites!

  2. I have a simple drugstore, all natural mascara in brown that I use, and I have to say it is so much better than my expensive one I used to use from Origins. I never used to believe that drugstore items were good but sometimes you get lucky and they are!

  3. I go through almost two tubes of mascara a month, so getting spendier mascaras has never really been an option for me, haha, however much I wish it was. I use CoverGirl Lashblast Fusion in very black, and it works GREAT. It gives my eyelashes volume, length, and definition. It's very dramatic though, and people often ask if my eyelashes are real or not, haha. But I don't wear much make-up besides mascara, so the effect of it isn't "too much".

  7. Voluminous Million is my go to...I like how clean the brush it, it really catches every lash and seems to add WAY more length than ever other brand I've tried.

  11. I received the Benefit They're Real mascara at Lucky FABB and I have to confess that I'm addicted to it! This mascara is amazing! Makes my lashes super long and full! Also have Dior Black Out- not my favorite. My standby everyday mascara is CoverGirl LashBlast Length. You should try that one as well :)

  12. You should give Cover Girl Lash Blast in the purple tube a try (length and volume). I used to buy Chanel Infallible mascara, but I swear, I can't tell the difference between it and the Cover Girl.

  13. I am so jealous that you have naturally long lashes. Being an Asian, I pretty much have nonexistent eyelashes :( But I do love the Maybelline ones ... especially the one in the red tube! I think it's called One by One, but I'm not sure haha.
