life is harder in heels

I recently shared that I'm not a heels girl. As much as I love how they look, I can't really bring myself to wear them since I hate being uncomfortable in what I wear! I can gasp in awe at the sight of a killer pair of wedges, yet cringe at the thought of putting them on my feet. Everyone knows confidence is key for your daily wardrobe, but heels just don't do it for me.

However, that doesn't stop me from including the best pairs in blog posts for your enjoyment. I can always live vicariously through other bloggers sporting amazing heels!
AllSaints sweater, Mother jeans, Modcloth wedges, Steve Madden handbag, Shamballa bracelet, Forever 21 ring

A pair like this would be more up my alley. An oxford-style, could-be flat with juuuust enough of a heel...but I'm not quite convinced these would meet my insanely high comfort standards. Maybe they offer classes for how to walk in these things?

  1. I promised myself I'd never be one of those people who wore flats and carried heels to work. I've changed this position recently. My feet hurt. The end.

  3. You're so funny. For one, I have been looking for a slouchy turtleneck sweater JUST like this!

As far as the heels, I am super finnicky about my comfort level, too, but I swear there are some super comfy wedges! Start with a smaller wedge boot, and train yourself from there! Steve Madden wedges are good training! What I've found: the cheaper the heels cost, the harder they are to walk in! (If all else fails, throw your Yosi Samras in your bag just in case! Haha.)

  4. I'm so with you on the heels. I have a few pairs and I can definitely do a lower wedge (and I go ga ga over all heels) but I just can't actually bring myself to wear them in daily life...too painful. But, of course, I love to window shop...

  8. But heels are just so much more fun :] I always find myself buying heels, but only wearing them on occasion, I've found a new love for wedges. A happy medium :]

  10. It's true, heels can be soo uncomfortable sometimes! But there's always the odd pair of heels that just feel amazing, even after wearing them for two hours! Who knows. They are a rarity though. :P Flats are always amazing, I agree too. :P x

  11. I love heels, but despite that, I'm always happier in a pair of Converses or Vans. I like to admire killer heels from a distance!
Love the ones you included here. Oxford style heels are my favourite. I have a pair and they're pretty comfortable.

  13. tell me about it- some of the most amazing looking heels are worn by bloggers but i just don't get how they do it?! i bought a pair from zara after seeing them on several sites (& people proclaiming their comfiness), but they were AWFUL to wear, i still haven't broken them in! i do have a couple of comfy heels however - all of which are vintage and not too high - i think because they are 2nd hand & have lasted, they have been really well worn in, but the high quality meant they didn't lose their shape..

  14. I'm quite similar, I'd much rather be comfortable! But I find wedges often aren't too bad to ease yourself into heel-wearing :) those oxfords look nice. xx

  15. Practice. Seriously. Get a pair of reasonable heels and wear them around the house. All the time. You'll soon get used to them, and find you can go higher from there. Good luck!

  17. I can totally understand you, but I have to admit that I buy heels very often but don't like wearing them so that's not really good for me and my money. Love, Vanessa

  18. For a non-heels girl, you found some cute heels for this collage! I totally know what you mean though... Sometimes heels are more trouble than they're worth (like today). However, I'm short so usually I opt for heels when going out.

  22. Heels are definitely hard to walk in and they kill your feet but are SO worth it! For the height and the look!

  26. Haha - you could totally rock this outfit with a pair of loafers or flats. Those oranges wedges are beautiful, though.
