inside the lines

I wear pencil liner all the time, but love the look of winged eyeliner! When my August Birchbox showed up with this mini liquid eyeliner by Blinc, I couldn't wait to try it.

It was basically my first time using liquid eyeliner, and I was surprised by how easy it was! This eyeliner is very unique because all you need to remove it is a bit of warm water and pressure (i.e. fingertips)--it literally slides off and leaves no smudge or mess. Makes it super simple to clean up mistakes too. Creates the perfect liner to stand out behind your frames!

Urban Outfitters top, Juicy Couture shorts, Free People necklace, Warby Parker eyeglasses

New glasses finally making their debut, paired with classic stripes and some fun denim shorts. I have totally been drawn to this sweater the past few days and can't stop rewearing it...bummer, since it's just heavy enough to be a little too warm for the sun.

If you're an eyeliner gal, do you prefer pencil, gel, or liquid? Can't wait to order the full size of this one by Blinc!

P.S. If you noticed the new pink sidebar button, I'm now part of the Birchbox blogger network! I'm excited to review some of the products that are sent in my monthly beauty box. New to Birchbox? Check out the site or email me with questions!

  3. Those frames really suit you lovely, love the nautical striped top.
It took me a good few practices before getting the nack of liquid eyelines, it's a lot more smudge proof than pencil!

  12. Eek! I may have to try this, as it was NOT in my August Birchbox! :( Haha.

I've been on an eyeliner rampage. I used to only use Cover Girl self-sharpening pencil. But it always ended up smearing under my eyes. Then I moved onto gel version, in a little tub, maybe it was L'oreal? I liked it, but always looking for something better... I tried a CoverGirl liquid liner, as a suggestion from Lauren Conrad in a magazine, but it emptied very quickly and didn't always show up over my shadow. Then I got a Smashbox liner (with built-in sharpener in the cap) as a sample from Sephora, which I loved. But when I bought the full-size it was more smudgey. Now I've been going back and forth between that and Kat Von D "tattoo" liner - which is basically like the Cover Girl liquid liner but it shows up over everything, stays put, but is also easy to get off!

Whew. Sorry for THAT mouthfull! Hahaha.

  16. Oh I really like this! I prefer pencil liner because I feel like I can control it easier than I can with liquid. I suck at it either way! Love the glasses though. Cute cute!

PS How'd you become the birch box thingy? Haha I fail at life.

  21. Yeah liquid eyeliners are better, is very ugly when you use the pencil ones and you scratch your eyes by accident and everything turns very messy :S

  24. I love eyeliner, but I'm not very good at applying it, maybe because I haven't found the right one...the Blinc one you are using seems very interesting and looks great on you. Thank you for the suggestion! BTW, I know it's not the focus of the post, but your outfit is so nice! Love the top and that sparkling necklace...
