OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark has been a staple of mine for years. I love the chic, shiny deep purple and how it seems to go with everything. It looks amazing with shorter nail lengths!
Lady Like is one of six shades in Essie's fall collection--three of which I knew I had to own. It's a light mauve shade that almost lends itself as a neutral.
I didn't like Wallis by Butter London in the bottle, but swatched on a nail it is a rockstar. It was released in what they called a "luxe-grunge" collection, which is a bit of a rough and tough take on fall's jewel tones. Obsessed!
Power Clutch by Essie is another from their autumn collection. It's kind of a steely-grey green...one of my favorite things about fall nail colors is that you can get away with kind of awkward, not necessarily "pretty" colors. They're dirty and deep and I love them.
For a bit of color, Chop-sticking to My Story from a past OPI collection does the job. A bright rusty orange, it looks great with browns and reds and fabulous fall knits.
J.Crew cotton stripe tank, Burberry Prorsum cotton trousers, Lela Rose cropped trench, Michael Kors crossbody, Vera Wang flats, Essie Power Clutch nail color
As summer transitions into fall, use my favorite trick to stay on trend by wearing fall colors in summer silhouettes--such as these lightweight crepe trousers and tank paired with a rusty leather crossbody and a fave fall nail color.

Absolutely love the two Essie colours - gorgeous! I adore your set too - the trousers are so elegant- Excellent advice :)

I love everything included in this post. Lincoln Park After Dark is one of my favorite shades, but that Chop-sticking to My Story looks fantastic. I've been looking for a nice summer to fall transition color. And oh how I love those Vera Wang flats. This list makes me even more excited for cardigan weather :)

I'm not a big polish girl, wish I was. I mean I love them, but I just get way too lazy to paint them on my own. However, I will say that these fall colors are absolutely inspiring me to get my style together ! Loving that trench too!
ReplyDeleteLove the color all the way to the right! I'm currently looking to find a pretty copper color, which I'm pretty sure Sally Hansen has at the moment! Yayayay! I love nail polish.
ReplyDeleteI've heard so many good things about OPI's Central Park After Dark polish and I think that color, besides OPI's Yoga-ta Get This Blue, are the colors I must have this fall.

I'm really so happy that you posted this guide to fall nails! I was just thinking...i wonder what colors are going to be popular for my FAVORITE season? GLAD you offered the answer. I'll definitely listen to one of the most STYLISH girls in the blogosphere! :D
ReplyDeleteLove love love power clutch and chop sticking to my story!
The Wallis by Butter London looks interesting. Does it look more like a dark gold, or is it more green? I think I want to try a gray polish, too. I always stick to pastels (mint, lavender, coral) and metallics (gold, silver, sparkles). Maybe time for a change. :)
