the wows and woes of thrifting

Thrifting isn't always cheap to me because I always end up getting so many things! I always find so much more than I mean to in the first place. I could spend hours (I do) and hundreds of dollars (I do) at Goodwill. However, I picked up this blouse and pair of shorts from the Humane Society for two dollars apiece.

I think I may wear this blouse every single day! It's 100% silk with a really delicate linear texture. I wish I could show you guys...I promise the photography will improve on zipped someday! I had to take inside pictures because there is no way I am going outside in pouring rain in shorts. There's just no way. And I had no photographer. So there are my excuses. But I looovve with this outfit. It's almost all vintage. So excited to wear these shorts in summer.

Speaking of rain, key footwear:

Vivienne Westwood, Hunter, Burberry, Loeffler Randall

I'm wearing  my grey Hunter shorties today, but I just dieeee over those blue Vivienne Westwoods! My little brother and I are spending the morning at Starbucks; Fridays are such a nice start to the weekend. Have a looovvellyyy one.

I've been to thrift shops and I absolutely love and adore the items, but I cringe a little knowing that someone used to wear the stuff there :[ (By the way, I don't mean to be offensive at all - sorry if it came out that way!)   76. love love, LOVE your outfit! I am a HUGE fan of tap shorts/flowey shorts paired with loose button downs. I pretty much lived in tap shorts last summer, however I never managed to find the perfect pair of floral ones :( I also have the same JC's ! can't wait for spring and summer so I can rock them again. Lastly I LOVE your hair!! it's so long and beautiful!!

UM those shorts are amazing - and 2$ i don't know a fashion/vintage loving soul that could resist. ass for the rainboots: i was drooling in the shoe section of Holts (which is like a canadian version of Saks or Barneys) and I came across a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs rainboots that looked like they were leather - with buckles and everything - i almost died. need.
